  • How does the 1 month trial work?

It’s very easy. You just sign up with Sentinel and you can use the service for 1 month without charge.

Before your trial expires we will drop you an email and ask if you want to continue using our service at which time you just pop in your credit card details and your account is all good to go.

  • Do I get the SMS alerts on the 1 month free trial?

Not at the moment. But we are working on this. We just have to convince the accountant that it's ok to give away money. You can use Twitter direct messages and then have Twitter send you SMS messges direct to your phone. It may even be free for you.

  • Are there any other Sentinel plans?

Nope. We have just one plan. That will give you everything you need to get going and if you find that you need to add additional services then you can just add them as you need them.

  • Where is your company based?

Sentinel is a New Zealand based company. This means that if you are also a New Zealand based company then G.S.T. will be added to the monthly charge. Don't blame us. The IRD made us do it.

  • Where is your equipment based?

All over the place. Sentinel has nodes at various points around the planet for optimum checking.

  • Can I add more servers on the 1 month trial?

Not at the moment. If you do need to monitor additional servers then you will need to upgrade your account. You can monitor up to 3 servers on the 1 month trial.

  • Can I enable the faster checking option on the 1 month free trial?

Again, not at the moment. We think that a 5 minute check will be fine for most people. If you really want to run checks every minute then you would need to upgrade your account and then add the faster checking option.

  • Are there any long term contracts?

No there are no contracts. We don't believe in it. You can close your account at any time and you will only be responsible for any outstanding payments. Nice and easy.

  • What web browsers work with Sentinel?

All the good ones. Firefox 3 and higher, Safari 4 and higher, Chrome.
We also support Internet explorer 7 and 8 but the dashboard wont look quite as nice. We don't have any plan to support IE6 at this point.

  • Do you have terms of service and privacy policies?

Sure thing. You can check them out here Terms, Privacy policy, Refund Policy
